EVERCROSS Bridge, an integrated manufacturer and exporter of prefabricated steel bridges, confirms that all structural components for its new modular steel bridge project have safely arrived at the construction site within the Democratic Republic of the Congo. A senior field engineer dispatched by EVERCROSS is on-site to provide full technical supervision and erection guidance for the client’s construction team.

This single-span modular bridge adopts the C3DD D-type main bridge system paired with a 200-type launching nose. The total bridge length measures 64.008 m, with a clear carriageway width of 4.2 m, configured as 21 panels at 3.048 m panel spacing. All steel members are hot-dip galvanised to deliver superior corrosion resistance, tailored for the tropical, high-humidity and heavy-rainfall operating conditions typical across the DRC.

Technical Specifications & Material Compliance

All primary structural steel conforms to EN 10025 for S355 and S460 grades, with full material test certification issued in accordance with EN 10204 3.1. Every component undergoes factory dimensional inspection, non-destructive testing and galvanising quality verification prior to shipment.

The D-type modular truss system features bolt-connected prefabricated segments, eliminating complex field welding and shortening site erection cycles. The supplied launching nose facilitates safe incremental launching over obstacles such as rivers, gullies and washed-out road alignments, which are common challenges for regional rehabilitation and emergency connectivity schemes.

Proven Track Record Across Central Africa

This delivery marks another milestone of EVERCROSS’s continuous engagement in Central African infrastructure. In December 2025, the company successfully delivered a 107.844 m Bailey steel bridge to the Republic of the Congo (Congo-Brazzaville).
